RURAL AND TRIBAL Assistance PILOT Program
About:
The Rural and Tribal Assistance Pilot Program will provide early-stage development assistance for rural and tribal infrastructure projects reasonably expected to be eligible for USDOT credit and grant programs. The RTAPP will award grants for either the hiring of staff or procurement of expert firms to provide financial, technical, and legal assistance; assistance with development-phase activities; and information regarding innovative financing best practices and case studies.

The U.S. Department of Transportation published a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for $3.4 million in grant funding through the RTAPP discretionary grant program on June 15, 2023. The application period opens on 08/14/23.
