About the Project
The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) will improve approximately 6.83 miles of the existing US-34/US-75 into a four-lane expressway between Murray and Plattsmouth, Nebraska. The improved roadway will include four travel lanes with raised medians and turn lanes.

Weather permitting, beginning Wednesday, November 23, traffic will shift to head-to-head operations on the newly constructed northbound lanes, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Additional road closures on the west side of US-34/75 include, West Side Drive, West Wiles Road, West Church Road and Waverly Road. Hawkins Construction Company of Omaha, Nebraska, is the contractor on this project. This traffic shift is necessary to construct the southbound lanes. Anticipated completion is November 2023.

Weather permitting, beginning Friday, October 21 at 9:00 a.m. US-34/75 and Rock Bluff Road access will be restricted to allow only the westbound to northbound movement. Vehicles travelling west on Rock Bluff Road to access US-34/75 will be directed north onto the new pavement and will be able to access US-34/75 at the intersection with Young Road. Traffic will not be able to access Rock Bluff Road from US-34/75. Full access to the Beaver Lake area and the businesses on Rock Bluff Road is available by way of Young Road (half mile north of Rock Bluff Road) and Murray Road (one mile south of Rock Bluff Road). This restriction will be in place for approximately six (6) weeks and is needed to expedite remaining paving activities for the northbound lanes and the reconstruction of the Rock Bluff Road intersection at US-34/75.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.

Weather permitting, beginning Tuesday, September 6 at 9:00 a.m. until mid-October, Murray Road will be closed east of US-34/75 for reconstruction of the Murray Road intersection. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.

Weather permitting, beginning Friday, June 17, Young Road south of Plattsmouth will be closed at US-34/75 until late this fall. Traffic should follow the marked detour.
