Nebraska Board of Examiners for County Highway and City Street Superintendents (BEX)
The Nebraska Board of Examiners for County Highway and City Street Superintendents (BEX) is responsible for testing and licensing local officials, or their agents, charged with overseeing the construction, maintenance and operation of municipal streets and county roads. Licensing promotes competency in planning and administration as part of a policy enacted in 1969 to provide for the efficient management, operation and control of an integrated system of state and local highways, roads and streets.
Licensing Examination Dates
All licensing examinations are held from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the NDOT 1500 Bldg. Auditorium, Lincoln, unless otherwise noted.

- October 4, 2024 [Application Filing Deadline is June 30, 2024]
- April 4, 2025 [Application Filing Deadline is December 31, 2024]
