Welcome! Moving the Metro is a construction update provided annually by NDOT for the Omaha metropolitan area. With several significant construction projects planned for and underway during the 2022 construction season, we want you to know what to expect so you can get to your destination safely.

2022 Omaha Metro Area Construction Projects

The interactive map below includes NDOT, City of Omaha, Douglas County, Sarpy County and other 2022 construction project information, including anticipated traffic impacts, expected project start and completion timeframes, and project contacts.

We’re working to build and maintain an efficient, long-lasting transportation system within the Omaha metro area. We recognize the frustration that construction can cause. Thank you for your patience as we work to make these important changes. Please drive slowly, use detours and always remember: Buckle Up, Phone Down!
