Welcome! Moving the Metro is an annual construction update provided by NDOT for the Omaha metro area.
With several significant construction projects planned for and underway during the 2021 construction
season, we want you to know what to expect so you can get to your destination safely.

2021 Omaha Metro Area Construction Projects

The interactive map below includes NDOT, City of Omaha, Douglas County, Sarpy County and other 2021 construction project information, including anticipated traffic impacts, expected project start and completion timeframes, and project contacts.

We’re working to build and maintain an efficient, long-lasting transportation system within the Omaha metro. We understand the frustration that can come with construction impacts. Thank you for your patience while we make these critical improvements. Please slow down, follow detours and remember to always Buckle Up, Phone Down!
